Lackawanna College’s Environmental Institutes new conference room was dedicated. President / CEO of SCE Environmental Group, Inc. Jody Cordaro and his wife Trudy have generously donated to The Legacy and the Vision capital campaign for the College. Given Mr. Cordaro’s personal and professional interests in the environment, Lackawanna College is pleased to name the institute’s conference room in honor of Jody’s late father, Samuel Cordaro.

Located at the site of the Moffat Estate in Covington Township, the institute is in the former Caretaker’s House, which has been renovated using “green” materials and technology. Several environmental education programs are offered here, many of which are open to the public. The facility also hosts ongoing art exhibits by local artists who specialize in using or featuring items from nature. On display during the dedication will be “Art in Bloom” by Lucille Norella, who specializes in the floral medium. We welcome you to meet the institute’s director, Jamie Reeger, take a tour of the building and surrounding grounds, and especially to honor The Cordaro’s contribution.
