SCE Environmental Group, Inc. has received its first work order for the recently awarded contract for abatement services at the World Trade Center (WTC) site in NY. This $2 million contract has a two-year duration.

Although the majority of the work for the abatement of asbestos, lead and universal waste at the WTC site has been completed, it is expected that abatement services will continue to be required for certain areas of the site. SCE’s work-order contract will provide an efficient and effective means to provide for future abatement services, in accordance with applicable state and local requirements, on an as-needed basis, in support of the timely implementation of the Port Authority-managed construction at the WTC site. The values of individual work orders under the proposed contract are expected to be in the range of $25,000 to $500,000.
