Diagnostic radiology focuses on the general practice of radiology; nuclear medicine is a subspecialty of radiology often used in diagnosing and treating cancers. During the second and third years of fellowship, the majority of time is spent engaged in scholarly activity with 5-7 blocks dedicated to inpatient and consultative care along with elective time. Two 64 slice scanners are housed in our Emergency Radiology Department, and a 8 slice Neuro Portable scanner is housed in our inpatient Neuro Intensive Care unit. Ample pre and post compensation time is provided for evening and weekend shifts / "call".
