Environmental safety and compliance are key requirements for any successful organization. SCE has developed a unique turnkey approach when solving a client’s environmental concerns. SCE possesses a multi-disciplinary licensed staff trained to assume complete responsibility for all phases of a removal project. Our state-of-the-art demolition equipment enables us to perform large-scale concrete cutting, crushing and separating, as well as steel cutting and equipment dismantling.
Our demolition experience ranges from selective interior/exterior demolition of residential structures to the razing of a major petroleum refinery to the demolition of an entire residential community. SCE offers comprehensive demolition services and provides unequalled performance, safety and efficiency.
SCE is considered one of the top experts in the industrial dismantling industry. We take pride in our ability to perform selective and total interior demolition projects throughout much of the United States. We have safely completed projects in many occupied and vacant environments such as office buildings, pharmaceutical plants, laboratories, dormitories, manufacturing facilities and hospitals.
SCE's crews are interior dismantling experts who take special care in providing our clients with schedules and precisely coordinated tasks that address all of the client's operational needs so that work is performed seamlessly and without interruption to daily operations. Our crews understand and are proficient in performing tasks that require stringent controls with regard to dust, noise and vibration.
Our interior dismantling and demolition capabilities include but are not limited to, duct and line cleaning and decontamination, removal of hazardous materials and contaminants, saw cutting and removals of pre and post stressed slabs, underground utility tracing, documentation, and removals, and all phases of selective interior demolition including utilities, elevators, escalators, walls, ceilings and floors.
SCE provides explosive demolition services for buildings, industrial structures, bridges, smokestacks, piers and high-liability rock or tunnel work. Our staff performs feasibility studies and demolition surveys as well as compiles cost analysis and time studies of explosive vs. conventional demolition.
SCE takes pride in our in-depth technical expertise to minimize your risk for structures of all designs on, above, or below ground by utilizing cutting edge technology, continued education and vast experience.
Having the right tool for the right job for any task is paramount to safety and efficiency. In the demolition industry, having the right tool is essential. At SCE, we go one step further - we have the best. Owned, operated and maintained by SCE, our demolition resources include a Caterpillar 365, Caterpillar 349's, Caterpillar's 336's, Caterpillar 328's, Caterpillar 325's, Caterpillar 320's equipped with hammers, grapples, processors, magnets, shears, pulverizers, and buckets. Loaders, dozers, skid steers, mini-excavators, off road trucks, and screening plants round out our fleet of speciality equipment.
In demolition, dust control is imperative on all projects. In addition to conventional on-road and off-road water trucks owned by SCE, we employ high-efficiency dust suppression equipment on most large projects. These self-contained units are capable of providing dust suppression over 196,000 SF of area. Equipped with a diesel generator, holding tank, and dust suppression system mounted on a flatbed trailer, these mobile units can be moved throughout the site as needed. With remote control operation and a 250+ feet "throw" area, these units displace the need for personnel on the ground with water hoses or water trucks moving throughout a site.
High Reach Work
Tall jobs are no problem, thanks to SCE's high-reach demolition excavators. Manufactured by Caterpillar in conjunction with Jewell Manufacturing, these triple-boom long-stick excavators represent some of the most innovative demolition equipment in the industry, allowing us to reach heights as tall as 85 feet. These machines boast unique features that benefit our customers in several ways:
Higher Production Rates
Our excavators come equipped with a transport joint that allows us to switch to a shorter arm onsite, typically within a couple of hours. This versatility limits the need to mobilize additional demolition equipment – a huge time saver for both SCE and our customers.
Thanks to the long reach of our excavators, operators are able to work farther away from falling debris, resulting in a safer work site for everyone. Our high reach units are equipped with remote dust suppression, remote video cameras, quick connect systems and elevated cabs.
SCE's commitment to recycling and waste reduction has grown from the conviction that landfill disposal of demolition waste is both cost prohibitive and destructive to our country’s natural resources. By recycling materials back into construction products, we not only reduce our consumption of those resources, but we also diminish the waste stream into rapidly filling landfill sites.
With that philosophy in mind, our company’s concrete crushing plants can be mobilized to your site to process demolished concrete and asphalt into a quality crushed aggregate substitute. SCE operates and maintains track mobile crushing plants that can be quickly set up on projects throughout the US. On site crushing not only eliminates the cost of transportation and disposal of the demolished material but also provides savings from fewer loads of inbound material.
